The Motley World's Temperance Convention—consisting of Abolitionists, Grahamites, Rappers, &c., met at New York, Thursday. There was a smart sprinkling of 'strong minded women,' and some negroes in the Assembly. The temporary organization included Miss Susan B. Anthony as Secretary. The permanent organization had Mr. W. Higginson of Mass., for President and an immense list of Vice Presidents and Secretaries—among the former were Rev. Mr. Pierpont, Greeley, Lucretia Mott and others! After some speeches the pie bald convention was entertained by a corps of vocalists called the Amphions who, sung 'The dawn of the good time coming.'
