Interesting to beer drinkers: Beer was advanced 1 per barrel on Tuesday on account of the passage of the war revenue bill. The local retailers will serve this beverage in smaller glasses, and the drinkers assist in paying the revenue. The local tobacco dealers have received notification from the manufacturers of an advance all along the line. We are informed that high priced cigars and tobacco will be very slightly affected, but that stogies, and cheap smoking and chewing tobacco will be advanced considerably.
