P. Rogan died suddenly at Albany, N. Y., last week, after a great deal of intense suffering. It is thought that he was poisoned on Thursday last, by handling hides. If Mr. Rogan was poisoned by handling them, it must have been done by means of a small pimple which made its appearance on his face, the day before. It is supposed that while handling the hides he rubbed this pimple in such a manner as to get the poison into the circulation. It soon extended to his whole head, and then descended to his body as far down as the waist. At the time of his death his head was as large as a half bushel, while his features were so distorted that his most intimate friends could not recognize him.
