COPPER RIVER REGION
Fishing for salmon in the Copper River and Bering River areas by means of gill nets attached to anchored boats or other anchored floating equipment has been prohibited by order just received from Washington, according to Shirley A. Baker, in charge of the Prince William Sound district for the bureau of fisheries, and who was recently a visitor in Seward. Mr. Baker said the cable instructions were to the effect that the new regulations was adopted June 8.
