All transfers are effective immediately and new duties will be assumed at masses Sunday, September 7th., it was reported.
Rev. Paquette, a native of Taftville, was ordained in 1945 and received his first assignment here in April of the same year under his uncle, the late Rev. Charles H. Paquette, pastor. During his work here Rev. Albert Paquette has endeared himself to young and old throughout the parish. He has been extremely active in the welfare of children, particularly the scouting groups affiliated with the parish and for the past few years has chairmanned the committee in charge of the annual Parents' Day observance at the parish camp. In addition he has served as chaplain of St. Mary's Circle, Daughters of Isabella and has taken an active interest in the affairs of Cargill Council, K. of C.
Rev. Paul Auclair, who has served for the past several years, under Msgr. John C. Mathieu and Rev. Oscar Normand in North Grosvenordale as well as the mission church in Quinebaug, has been popular and active among parishioners. He, likewise, has demonstrated a keen enthusiasm in the Boy Scout movement in this district and also served as principal of St. Joseph's High School in North Grosvenordale. He has been actively associated with St. Bernard's Council, K. of C., North Grosvenordale.
