CONNECTICUT.—The democratic State Convention assembled at Hartford on Wednesday. About 275 delegates were in attendance; John C. Palmer, of East Haddam, president. Hon. George S. Catlin, of Windham, was nominated for governor, and Hon. Origen S. Seymour, of Litchfield, for lieut. governor. The convention also made choice of the following delegates to the democratic national convention:—At large: Isaac Toucy, Samuel Ingham. Districts: 1, James T. Pratt; 2, Charles A. Ingersoll; 3, John C. Holland; 4, Perry Smith.
