The New-York Committee of Arrangement, expecting the Funeral Procession of Commodore M'Donough, have made a public request to the Street Commissioners of that city, to have 'all obstructions removed and the streets cleaned, through which the procession,' was to pass.
Immediately under this public notice, is one from the Street Commissioners, praying the inhabitants to conform to the requisitions of the Committee of Arrangement, 'in order that the streets may be cleaned.' It seems a very serious and important undertaking in the city of New-York, to remove the obstructions and clean their most public streets, when public processions are to pass through them. It is well there are frequent processions in New-York, or we might apprehend the streets would be blocked up by obstructions and filth.
