A large number of friends of the John Leeberg family gathered last Sunday afternoon at their home, to bid farewell to Mrs. Leeberg, mother of John Leeberg, who leaves next Friday for Minneapolis where she will visit with one of her daughters on the way to Sweden. At Minneapolis she'll join with Mrs. John Benson of Trail, Minn., who after forty years will return to Sweden for a visit. They leave New York on May 8th on the Norwegian ship, Hardangerfjord. This will be the 4th time Mrs. Leeberg crosses the ocean. She will make her future home with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. August Malmsten of Falkenberg, Halland.
Rev. Sorenson of Svea was the spokesman for the party, who from a well-fitted Bible reading expressed the love and good wishes for Mrs. Leeberg, and he presented her with a remembrance of $34 for which she was instructed to buy herself something as a remembrance from her many friends on this side of the ocean.
