SHERIFF GOES

AFTER MURRELL

Sheriff Harold J. Brown received permission from the board of supervisors Monday to go to California to try to bring back Ted Murrell, wanted here for attempting to kidnap Jack Trippell, Nogales boy, on the Fourth of July.

Murrell, under arrest in Los Angeles, is fighting extradition and a hearing on his effort to keep from being returned to Arizona is scheduled to be held in the coast city Monday.

Sheriff Brown expected to leave last night for Los Angeles and to stop enroute at Phoenix to get requisition papers from Governor Moeur.

Murrell tried to carry the Trippell boy from the Nogales International Airport in an airplane. The boy broke away and Murrell "sailed" in the plane.
