BAIL IS REFUSED JOSEPHINE CLARK

HEARING BEFORE JUDGE CRUM HERE YESTERDAY RESULTED IN MOVING ACCUSED WOMAN FROM FITZGERALD TO MACON

After a hearing held in chambers here yesterday, Judge D. A. R. Crum refused bail for Josephine Clarke, white woman held in Fitzgerald with a man named Herndon in connection with the death of a woman said to have been the wife of Herndon. Both are held under charge of murder.

Judge Crum ordered the transfer of the Clarke woman to the Macon jail for safe keeping. Pleas for bond were made by Attorney A. J. McDonald of Fitzgerald, while the state was represented by Solicitor General David and Attorney W. H. Lasseter the latter of Fitzgerald.
