Jail Birds Fly.

There were five prisoners sawed their way to liberty on last Saturday night from the Berkeley county jail. They were Ed. Keiter, Howard Robison, John Thompson and Charles Price, all white and Burris Chase, colored

The colored man came back on Sunday voluntarily, having never left town but the rest have succeeded in eluding the searchers.

One of the prisoners in the corridor is suspected of having broken a spring of the lock to the cage containing the fellows who left and when once out of the cage they sawed an iron bar from one of the windows and crawled through.
