They Demand a Trial By Jury.
Three more rioters were arraigned before Judge Wilson in the Police Court this morning. Their names are Stephen Rozell, Wm. Saunders and E. W. Jones, who are charged with having incited the mob during the late O. & M. Railroad blockade here. The men, through their attorneys, asked for a jury trial, then waived that kind of trial, and, for a third change, finally concluded to demand a jury. After some deliberation, the case was set for next Tuesday afternoon, the 7th instant, at 2 o'clock. Saunders made a statement that his sister is lying at the point of death in the interior of Iowa, and begged to be dismissed in order to get to her bedside. He promised not to return again to this city. The Prosecuting Attorney consented to his dismissal, and an entry so that effect was made on the Police Court docket. The other men were sent to the County Jail to await their trial next Tuesday.
