ST. PAUL'S ANNIVERSARY.
Its Fortieth Year to Be Celebrated
in a Proper Manner.
The grey stone edifice of St. Paul's
church, which has stood for nearly half
a century, is to be honored with an
anniversary celebration.
The women of the church have plans
well in hand for the celebration of its
fortieth anniversary and are putting
forth their best efforts to make it a
grand occasion. The affair should take
place on the 23d of this month, but the
date coming so close to Christmas, the
women are engaged with their own pri-
vate affairs.
It was deemed best to defer it until
the last of the month. Handsome in-
vitations will be issued later and will
contain the inevitable birthday bag,
which seems to be nowadays a popular
mode of raising money.
