Full Text

Yesterday Baggage Master J. W. Davis, now residing in Grafton, had a very unusual accident happen him while on duty in the baggage car. A trunk fell on his right arm while the train was in motion and wrenched it from the socket. It was a blind baggage car and he had no means of procuring assistance unless he stopped the train, which he would not do.

The pain he suffered was something terrible. He dashed some cold water in his face to keep himself out of a faint and after several hard efforts restored the dislocated joint, a very unusual exhibition of will power.
