FROM GREENE COUNTY, PA.

Ryerson's Station, Pa., July 27, '76.

Editors of the Register:

We are having some fine harvest weather, and wheat is about all garnered. Oats is going into shocks, at a rapid rate, and some hay is in stack.

We had a very heavy thunder storm on Thursday, the 20th inst. Two valuable horses, belonging to Mr. James Carter, of Richhill township, were killed by lightning on that evening. They were just brought into the stable from the mowing-machine, and were heated, and had the harness on them in their stalls when killed. Two other horses in the same stable were uninjured. No material damage was done to the stable. Corn was blown down to a great extent, and a large amount was broken off. Oats were much tangled.

Blackberries are now in their glory, and sell at fifteen cents per gallon.
