Cigar Stub Causes Suit

A "coke" with a cigar stub in it, as a Tacoma woman claims she found her bottle of the beverage last summer, was the basis for a $2,500 lawsuit filed in superior court here Wednesday.

Miss Madeline Christy filed the personal injury action against Norman E. and Anele Larson, confectionery store operators, and the Coca-Cola Co., a Georgia corporation, complaining "that the bottle of Coca-Cola manufactured by the plaintiff and which the defendant drank contained a poisonous substance known as a cigar stub, rendering the Coca-Cola unfit for human consumption."

Miss Christy states she became immediately ill upon the Larson premises and suffered several weeks.
