Owing to the increased business at the St. L. B. & M. freight depot in this city, it has been found necessary to employ another clerk, and J. T. Abrego, who formerly held the position of operator at the depot, has been appointed to fill the new place. The vacancy in the service made by this change was filled by the appointment of John Lawrence, formerly of San Fordyce, as operator at the freight depot. Both appointments became effective today. Mr. Lawrence was formerly in charge of the military telegraph line at San Fordyce.
