PRENTISS, Miss. - It has been revealed that the $500,000 High School for Negroes to soon be completed here will be named in honor of the late Prof. J. E. Johnson, co-founder of the Prentiss Institute. Prof. Johnson, during his lifetime, contributed much to the education and well-being of Mississippians and today, the school co-founded by the great educator and his beloved wife, Mrs. Bertha L. Johnson who now heads the institution, is still sending well prepared graduates into all parts of the world.
