Friendship, Nov. 5.—The farmers have been very busy sowing oats and taking up potatoes for several days.
Born to Mr. and Mrs. Barnie Wasson a daughter, recently.
Mr. and Mrs. Chesterfield McDaniel of Oakville dined last Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Abe Coats.
Mrs. Abbie Phillips of Ekom visited her sister, Mrs. Lou Coats last weekend.
Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Abercrombie of Hickory Tavern and Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Washington of Mt. Olive were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Pitts last.
Mrs. J. I. Pitts, Miss Janie and Walter and Miss Lila Wilson, teacher of this place, dined at Mr. Abe Coats' last Sunday.
Mrs. Mollie Balentine and daughter, Miss Dewey, of Poplar Springs community, spent Wednesday with Mrs. J. I. Pitts and family.
Mr. Murphy Pitts has purchased a Ford recently.
