NEW YORK, August 13—(ANP)
—The Federated Colored Catholics of the United States meeting in Eighth Annual Convention in New York City, September 3, 4, and 5, has announced the tentative program for the three day session through the advisory committee which met in New York City, August 3.

The first day will be sponsored by the Industrial Department of the National Catholic Welfare Conference, in co-operation with the Federated Colored Catholics, and it will be held at the Y.W.C.A., 175 W. 137th Street. The Negro Industry will be the point of interest.

Sunday morning, September 4, the Convention Mass will be celebrated at Saint Patrick's Cathedral by Cardinal Hayes of the Archdiocese of New York. At the special request of his Eminence, there will be congregational singing and general reception of Holy Communion for the two intentions for which the Mass will be offered: the conversion of the Negro race to the Catholic Faith, and the lifting of the general economic burdens under which the world suffers. The Mass will be followed by a Communion breakfast at the Knights of Columbus hotel at which Monsignor Thomas M. O'Keere, pastor of St. Charles Borromeo Church in Harlem, New York City, will be the principal speaker.

Sunday afternoon at four o'clock a general meeting will be held in St. Mark's Parish hall in Harlem. At this meeting, Dr. Thomas W. Turner, president of the Federated Colored Catholics of the United States will make his annual address.

Monday morning at eight o'clock a memorial Mass will be celebrated for the late Rev. Stephen L. Theobald at St. Charles Borromeo. Father Theobald, one of the three Negro priests in the United States, was one of the moving spirits of the Federation.

The morning session beginning at 10 o'clock will be given over to the reports from the 85 affiliated chapters on charitable and missionary activities, young people's work, interracial activities, growth of the Federation, and the "inconveniences" to which colored Catholics are sometimes put in the practice of their religion. Following these reports will be an afternoon session with discussion based upon the Negro in history.

Over 100,000 Catholics are represented by the Federation.
