After Lively Chase
Stamford.
Sept. 17.-George P. Rowell, a young

yesterday.

the brake off and the machine darted
across the street, running into a
funeral procession. The car hit a
team of horses and knocked them
down. Four women in the funeral
carriage jumped out, screaming.
Several men rushed to the scene,
but the automobile was on its way
before they arrived. Mr. Rowell, who
was some distance down the street,
ran out from the sidewalk and after
a short chase jumped into the auto-
