Mrs. L. M. Willis is spending a few days in New Bern this week.

Mrs. Eugene Harrelson is a patient in Duke Hospital, Durham.

Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Bullard Sr. and son, MacArthur were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Tompkins Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Tompkins and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Tompkins visited Mr. and Mrs. Nolan Tompkins Sunday.

Mrs. Herbert Harrelson, Mrs. Lillie Strickland and Pfc Eugene Harrelson visited Mrs. Eugene Harrelson at Duke hospital last week.

Mrs. Lula Tompkins and Miss Doris Tompkins were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Tompkins Sunday.

Mrs. Corlie Bullard and children were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Liston Tompkins Sunday.

Mrs. John Roberts is spending some time with her sister, Mrs. Herbert Harrelson.

The fifth, sixth and seventh grades of the Finklea school enjoyed a picnic at Brook Green Gardens Saturday. The children with perfect attendance records also attended the picnic.

Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Tompkins visited Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Lucindy Saturday night.

Mr. and Mrs. Kemp Floyd were tourists of Washington and Virginia last week.
