HATHAWAY RUINED, CUTS HIS THROAT WITH A RAZOR!

Melancholia caused by financial ruin due to litigation was the reason for a suicide at 10 Marlborough avenue this morning.

The victim was Charles H. Hathaway, 45 years old, of the C. H. Hathaway company, building contractors, 221 Industrial Trust Co.

There were no indications that he intended to take his life, although he had been suffering from depression for a long time.

Watching for an opportunity, Mr. Hathaway at 7 o'clock went to the dining room and there drew a razor across his throat. He was dying when his wife discovered him.

Seeing nothing but financial ruin before him, his property to be sold under attachment in a few days, Charles H. Hathaway, the well known contractor, ended his life at 7 o'clock this morning by cutting his throat with a razor.

Mr. Hathaway was the head of the C. H. Hathaway company, building contractors, room 221, Industrial Trust building.

He had had that business connection for two years, but prior to that was with W. A. Chapman & Co., contractors.
