An important case was argued yesterday before Judge Watts. It was an application for a mandamus, by R. L. District Attorney, to compel A. T. Swann to issue a warrant on the Treasurer for amount due Wm. Buck State for his services as District Attorney. The application being in question of the constitutionality of a resolution passed by the Legislature, prohibiting the Auditor from issuing warrants in settlement of claims due by the State. Fullerton conducted the argument for mandamus, and Attorney General in opposition thereto. The argument was conducted with great ability. Opinion of the Court will be delivered to-morrow.
