By Letters from the Havannah, and verbal Intelligence so late as the 29th January, inform us, That the Earl of Albemarle sailed for England on the 22d of January, on board the Rippon Man of War; in Company with his Majesty's Ship the Pembrook. That a valuable Prize was lately carried into the Havannah, on board which was the Governor of St. Jago de Cuba. That seven Ships were arrived there from England with Dry Goods, &c. That the Spaniards were surprisingly forward of late, insomuch that four of them had broke into a Store, and barbarously murdered two Gentlemen Merchants of and from Philadelphia (Messieurs Reed and Boyd); but they were disturbed before they had Time to carry off any Thing considerable, leaving some Bags behind: That several English Soldiers have also been murdered by the Spaniards, who are no sooner discovered than hanged directly: And that not less than twenty four have already suffered.
