AMATEUR NITE
In response to the many requests made by the local public that the Northwestern School DCT Club continue its sponsorship of the Amateur Nites, the date has been set for Friday, March 16. It will be staged in the big gymnasium on that night at 8 o'clock. More than 1,200 patrons may be accommodated and are expected, if past records of attendance are to be upheld. You will love every minute of the show, because every minute will be filled with action.
MANY STARS TO ATTEND
According to the varied list of contestants to file entry blanks, those present may expect to see such stars as Cab Calloway, Sarah Vaughn, Dinah Washington, The Imperials, King Cole and many newcomers. These stars will come from elementary, junior and senior high schools of the community.
A SHOWER OF STARS
There will be "A Shower of Stars" to bring to you "a selection of many professional stage figures who will not be in the contest. Among these will be Rufus Beacham and his boys featuring a former high school great, Earl Bethel sing "Danny Boy"; Chas. Murphy, the one and only "Evil Eye"; and some of the nationally known stars of Miami Beach.
JABBERWOCK WINNERS TO
APPEAR
Added attractions on the program will be many of the top winners in the recent Jabberwock at Booker T. Among these will be the presentation staged by Northwestern to win second prize. Bunche Park Elementary, Dorsey Junior High, Bethune, Liberty City, Holmes and Poinciana Park, Booker T. and Carver are expected to participate.
