MAIL CONTRACTS.—There seems every reason to believe that Mr. Graham has been enabled to make very large reductions in the cost of Mail Transportation in his new contracts. The Canton (St. Lawrence co ) Democrat states that the route from Ogdensburgh to Plattsburgh (120 miles) has been taken for the ensuing four years at $3,000 per annum less, and that from Ogdensburgh to Chateaugay Corners at $1,500 less than the old contract— a clear saving on those two minor routes of $4,500 per annum, or $18,000 in the four years ensuing.— N. Y. Tribune.
