Germany Anxious for an American Loan

London. The German ambassador visited the Foreign Office this afternoon to ask British support for an American proposal to the effect that America be asked to advance food credits to Germans this winter to the amount of thirty million dollars.

Washington. -- Germany is not in need of charity, according to information passed to President Coolidge, through official channels, and he feels that any aid given that nation by the United States should be arranged on a business basis, the White House announced Thursday.
