OVER GASOLINE TANK
In Fireworks Following He Gets a
Lift and Loses Considerable Hair.
Sunrise Nov. 14 While John Renner
of the Polly mine on Mills creek
was making a heating stove out of an
empty gasoline tank for O. H. Sleeper
and had the top cut out he started to
light his pipe over the opening when a
sudden explosion occurred, taking
Renner off his feet. His eyebrows and
mustache were badly singed and his
nose slightly scorched. Had the opening
made on the stove not been a large
one the result would have been more
serious
