Gasoline Price Reduced Two Cents Per Gallon

The Office of Price Stabilization announced today that effective Tuesday, September 16, 1952, the retail price of gasoline sold on the Island of St. Thomas will be 33¢ per gallon. The new ceiling represents a reduction of two cents per gallon over the previous price.

OPS stated that the decrease in price is due in part to economies resulting from importation of gasoline and other petroleum products in bulk to St. Thomas, in lieu of in drums, as was the former practice.

Reductions in the price of Kerosene and Diesel Fuel Oil are expected shortly.
