A GOOD JOKE.

Cales, an Englishman, in the Post Advert. Int. says, " We call on the federalists either to stand forth and justify the British depredations on OUR Commerce, or retrieve their American character by joining us; [Englishmen] in a general opposition to all aggressions !" Be it known to this European, that when he was the humble slave of a monarch the writer of this note was bearing arms in his country's cause, in opposition to the aggressions of his then lord and master. And that of posterity—
