ANOTHER MURDER

Was committed at Liberty, in Amite County, about ten days since, by a man of the name of Tucker on the person of Cotton. We are informed that a territorial writ had been put in the hands of the sheriff against Cotton, which it was thought advisable to take assistants to execute, of which Tucker was one: that after the sheriff had made the arrest, Cotton left him and went into his house, and that Tucker followed and shot him in the body, with a very large load of buck shot! - Tucker has fled
