The Legislature.
Secretary Mills has rented the Sawtelle theater for the use of the house of representatives during the 12th session of the Montana legislature. The building will be remodeled and repaired so as to make it comfortable and convenient for the purposes named. The council chamber will be over Marks' saloon, next door to I. M. Parchen & Co.'s drug store, Main street. The building at present has but one story, but the owners, Messrs. Auerbach & Beveridge, will at an early day, build a second story 60x28, and have the same ready for the use of the upper house by the time it will be needed. The entrance will be by the Broadway stairs of H. M. Parchen & Co.'s building. The arrangement is one that cannot but prove satisfactory, as the rooms of the two houses will be convenient to each other, commodious and comfortable.-Independent.
