MYSTERY SURROUNDS
Murder of Troy girl

Troy, N. Y., July 13.—It was reported early tonight that arrests will be made in the murder mystery of Hazel I. Drew, whose body was found in Teal's Pond about ten miles from here Saturday. No arrests were made, however, although the county officers spent the late afternoon and evening in the country.

It is thought developments will occur tomorrow.

Rudolph Gundrum and Frank Enith, farmers, are said to have seen the girl Tuesday and spoken to her. The stories are conflicting. The officers are at Gundrum's house for the night, awaiting his return. Gundrum is somewhere in Troy. Dr. Brovee, of Averill Park, who examined the body, made the startling statement that a corset string was knotted about the girl's neck and that she was strangled in addition to being hit over the head.
