Work Progressing Rapidly
Construction of more than two miles of railroad tracks is nearing completion at the Vicksburg Harbor project.
Frank Jajerski, Chamber of Commerce industrial committee chairman, said recently: "When Warren County Port Commission or Chamber of Commerce officials take industrial prospects out to the Vicksburg Harbor Project they can show, for the first time, a planned industrial district in actuality instead of one that is just in the planning stage."
Recent progress made by the port commission will be of tremendous help in showing the project.
The railroad tracks parallel a recently constructed all-weather road that extends the entire length of the industrial district. Utility poles are now being received and will soon be erected at the site. Water lines have been installed.
