NEW YORK, July 18.

WEDNESDAY Night last our Committee of Correspondence, and drew up a Set of Resolves on the present alarming Occasion, which were printed in Handbills, and sent about the Town the next Morning for the Approbation of the Inhabitants thereof, who are to assemble at the Coffeehouse to-morrow at 12 o'Clock, either to approve or disapprove of the same. At the same Time the People are to testify their Approbation of the five Gentlemen nominated by the Committee to attend as Delegates at the General Congress, viz. Mr. Duane, Mr. Philip Livingston, Mr. John Alsop, Mr. Isaac Low, and Mr. John Jay.
