Little Fuehrer Gets Five Years

SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 13. (UP)—Gottfried Karl Hein, 39—"Little Fuehrer" of the San Francisco-Oakland German Bund—today was sentenced to five years in the penitentiary by Federal Judge A. F. St. Sure after he pleaded guilty on two charges of draft evasion.

Hein rocked back and forth on his feet as Judge St. Sure asked the draft evader, told of his visiting draft evader, told of his visiting Germany, attending Nazi meetings him "what have you to say?"

"I was a steward aboard an American ship in 1941," Hein replied— "we were hit by a torpedo." "If I had died on that ship I suppose I would have been considered a hero." Also testified Hein received money from Capt. Fritz Weidemann, German consul in San Francisco, at Nuremberg in 1937 and returning to America as a Nazi.
