After a warm contest, the votes given in the city and county of New-York, give Mr. Burr a majority of about 100 over Mr. Lewis, the republican candidate.
The Republican ticket for members of Assembly for the city and county of New-York, has carried by a majority of about 700.
Samuel L. Mitchill and Daniel D. Tompkins, both republicans, are elected representatives in Congress.
One of the New-York papers states that Mr. Burr has obtained a majority of 86 on Staten Island.
The Citizen says "our friends in the other states may rest assured that judge Lewis will be elected by a very handsome majority."
