Joe May's Soul Stirrers In Concert Today

Brother Joe May, the Soul Stirrers, Pilgrim Travelers and Southern Gospel Singers will appear in concert today at the City Auditorium. The program gets underway at 3:00 p.m.

These nationally-known aggregations have appeared in concerts, radio and have recorded. Audiences everywhere have hailed them as dynamic disciples of song. They are without a peer in the realm of religious music.

Brother May possesses a voice of robust cadence, tempered with reverence and understanding. His hits included "Working On The Building," "Going Home" and "Precious Lord."

The Soul Stirrers Paul Foster, R. B. Robinson, S. R. Crain, J. J. Farley, T L. Bruster and Sam Cook have recorded "Nearer To Thee," "It's Wonderful," One More River To Cross" and "How Far Am I From Canaan."
