RUSSIAN OFFICIAL BULLETIN.

St. Petersburg, April 30. A supplement to the Journal of St. Petersburg, contains news from the theatre of war to 19th April, and gives the following particulars.

The garrison of Ghiurgevo has made two unsuccessful sallies against the corps of observation before that fortress; in the second the enemy had 3000 men, infantry and cavalry, and some cannon, and began a fire of musketry on the Cossacks, but were driven back into the fortress.

During the winter the necessary preparations have been made to effect the passage of the Danube before Silistria. Pontoons were made in the village of Fundeni, on the river Argis, with the intention of floating them in spring to the Danube, and then on the river Bota to Kallarusch, opposite Silistria. This enterprise was dangerous, for the enemy having assembled the remains of his flotilla before Silistria, commanded the Danube at that fortress and farther up. The operation was, however, executed with success by Major General Schilder. The pontoons were launched into the Argis on the 5th April, reached the Danube at day break on the 11th, and at two o'clock in the afternoon of the following day, were out of all danger in the Bota. We not only sustained no loss, but the volunteers of the regiments of Archangel and Volgoda, stationed on the pontoons, captured a Turkish merchantman, a corvette, with seven men. This corvette has been armed with four cannon, and stationed as a guardship at the mouth of the Bota, where General Schilder has also had two redoubts erected.

The Turkish prisoners and deserters agree in stating that there is a great scarcity of provisions, especially at Shumla, where the new Grand Vizier had arrived with 12,000 regular troops. By other unexceptionable accounts, the scarcity is daily becoming more alarming, even at Constantinople.

Tehpan Oglou, who commanded at Nicopoli, has lately been arrested and conducted into exile. It is believed that he will be beheaded before he reaches the place of his destination.

As the commencement of fine weather favors the renewal of hostilities, the Commander in Chief has thought fit to bring his head quarters nearer to the Danube, and accordingly left Jassy 14th April.
