Gentlemen: You will do many of your friends a favor, if you will say to the citizens of Richmond, that they ought to have a Corporation Law regulating the article of Corn. Let it be sold by weight, and let that weight be established by your corporation: for such is the complaint by the sellers that many persons who would buy their corn in your city and get it home with less trouble and expense, will, by the advice of many who have bought in Richmond, buy here at a much higher price. Your corn dealers will not give as good measure as they ought, and by that means deceive many people. Now is it not just and right that they should weigh it? By giving them information on this subject you will be the cause of their quitting price or quitting the market. If you should think it worth while to do so, you will please to ask them to do it through your paper, and oblige
