School Projects Totaling $37,000 Given Approval

Local CWA Board Acts Favorable On Five Totaling This Amount-Four Receive State Sanction.

Five school improvement projects totaling $37,100, under the Civil Works Administration have received approval of the local council and with exception of one $16,000 project at Chattahoochee the projects have all been approved by State headquarters in Tallahassee. It is expected this item will also be approved, as well as several others now before the CWA for consideration.

Projects approved to date and upon which work will be started next week are announced by Supt. C. H. Gray as follows:

Havana, repairs and improvements $3,500.

Hinson, school and grounds, $500

Quincy, improvements, $7,100.

Greensboro, 4-room addition to building, repairs, grading and beautifying grounds. $10,000.

Approval of the Chattahoochee project, including addition of four rooms, repairs and improvements totaling $16,000. it is anticipated will be received and work started soon.

While it is expected work will begin on some of the jobs Monday, others may be delayed one or more days, or until sufficient labor becomes available through the local relief and reemployment offices.
