FALSE CHARGE!

MR. O'CONNOR,

You had better inform yourself as to the hour, for the Mail to arrive at this place, before you take the liberty to stigmatize the stage owner, who has been actuated from no other motive but that of accommodation, knowing the anxiety of the public, and those concerned, to have the mail in as early in the morning as possible; the time agreeably to the contract, for its arrival, is 10, but it generally gets in by 3 o'clock. So Mr. O'Connor suppose you acknowledge you have been illiberal in your remarks on that head in your last paper: He that acknowledgeth his sins and turneth from the error of his ways shall be forgiven.

I make the appeal to the good citizens of the Borough, and particularly the Post-Master, to say if my assertion is, or not, true, and that instead of the mail getting in by 10, it is often at the Post-Office by sun-rise, and scarcely after the hour of 8 o'clock any morning.

Thomas Glenn.
