Full Text
From an article in the National Intelligencer, copied into our paper, it seems that the policy of government in relation to the captured Spanish posts in Florida, has been modified. For reasons, assigned in the official paper, it has been determined to surrender St. Marks only to a Spanish force competent to overawe and keep in order the neighboring savages. Pensacola is to be restored, without condition, to the first authorized Spanish agent who may demand it. We hope that before either of the posts shall be given up, government will again modify its policy, by resolving to keep possession of both.
