French Duelist Is Recovering From Puncture in His Lung.
PARIS, July 15, Surgeons in attendance upon M. Sarraut who was wounded Friday in a duel with M. Pugliesi-Conti issued a bulletin today saying that the patient's condition was considerably improved. The dangerous period has passed but complete repose is ordered. Further examination will be made tomorrow in order to decide the gravity of injury to the lungs. The press continued its discussion of the Dreyfus case today but interest is waning. The closing of parliament and the rapid exodus of Parisians for the summer resorts tends to relieve the former tension of the opposing elements.
