Rev. B. F. Baker, Presbyterian Minister in Osceola Church.
Osceola, Jan. 27.—A sensation was sprung in the church circles here this week by the conversion of Rev. B. F. Baker, who has been pastor of the Osceola Presbyterian church the last four months, to the faith of the Church of Christ, under revival services of Rev. Orner. His wife joined with him.
Rev. Baker resigned his pastorate of the Presbyterian church last Sunday, before making his conversion public. He is a middle aged man, with one married daughter, Mrs. J. L. Meacham of Centerville. Baker was educated at Kirksville, Mo., but was ordained a pastor of the Congregational church in Highland, Kas., twelve years ago, and did evangelistic work for this church ten years. At DeSoto, Mo., two years ago, he entered the Presbyterian church as pastor, coming from pastoral work at Lineville to Osceola. He will enter the ministry of the Christian church.
