$32.25 in Libby Schools
Christmas seals for the prevention of tuberculosis sold in the Libby schools totaled $32.25. James Obendorf, a seventh grade pupil, sold the most of any student.
From the proceeds of the seal sale several health projects and clinics have been made available to students in the Libby schools during the past year.
Among the projects were the Mantoux tests given to the students in the Libby high school. This test is to determine if the student has been infected with tuberculosis.
Chest X-rays were taken of the students that needed further examinations.
Plans are under way to provide the skin test to the freshman class again this year under the sponsorship of the Libby Women's Club.
Milk lunches have been given to undernourished school children during the winter months. A tonsil clinic and dental clinic were also made possible through the seal sale.
