We understand from Mr. Angus McKay that space has been secured at the Centennial Exposition for exhibiting the patent car coupler, of which he and Messrs. McKervey and Ramsay own the patent. They are having two small models of cars built on an exact scale which will be fitted with the patent coupler and be used for exhibition at the exposition. Mr. McKay is very much encouraged over the prospects of the invention being a success. He showed it to many of leading railroad men of the country, and it was universally acknowledged by all to be the best coupler yet before the public. The patent will be presented to a meeting of the leading railroad men in the interest of the Pennsylvania Central railroad and its connections sometime during the present month. Mr. McKervey is now in Detroit superintending the construction of the car models and coupler. We understand that outside parties with abundant means have become interested in the patent.
