The following is an authentic statement of the presents given by the king of Prussia to those of his officers who were prisoners of war in America:
To Lieut. Gen. Comte de Lotum: 6000 Crowns.
Major General Comte de Kalkreuth 4000,
To Col: Pfau, 1000
To Major de Goeti 1000 and the order of merit.
To Captain de Massembach: the same.
To Captain Eckenbrachee of the Artillery, the rank of nobility, and the order of merit.
To Major Gellaur of the Artillery; the order of merit.
To Lieut, de Halmelberg 500 Crowns
To Lieut. de Cracow 500.
* A crown is two florins; a Berlin florin is 1s. 8d. and a Flanders florin is 1s. 6d.
