SHOT IN HOME WIFE
OF MAYOR PASSES AWAY

Parkston, S. D., April 4.—Mrs. W. G. Meisenholder, wife of the mayor here, died late Saturday from gunshot wounds received from an unidentified assailant last night at her home. She did not regain consciousness.

Mrs. Meisenholder was at home alone at the time and police said they believe she had been shot by a burglar. No valuables are missing from the home however. After being shot, Mrs. Meisenholder reached a telephone and an operator, hearing her groans, notified a physician.
